Keeping guests, staff, and volunteers safe is the priority for the museum. All of the tour services and room rentals listed below have been suspended and are not available at this time. The museum will resume these services when conditions allow us to safely do so. Please watch our social media channels for future announcements.
The museum is open for individual visitors. Admissions will be limited to 10 persons at a time in the galleries, 4 people at a time in the Museum Shop. Masks are required in both the museum and shop. Our staff will provide one if you’ve forgotten yours. We ask that you maintain social distance while visiting the museum and shop.
For a unique, insider’s experience of the museum, we offer tours for youth and adult groups of ten or more. Our tours are conducted by our knowledgeable volunteer docents or a member of our staff. Tours require a minimum of ten participants and need to be arranged at least two weeks in advance of your visit. There is no cost for tours however, Donations are appreciated. Please call 920.751.4658 to arrange a tour.
Online tours of our collection are available anytime via Google Arts and Culture.
Guided tours for school-aged youth provide a general overview of Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass and explain how glass and paperweights are made. We will introduce students to our glass collections and the temporary glass exhibition. We tailor tours to be appropriate for all age levels.
K-6TH Grades: Adventures in Glass: Art, Science, & More
Take a journey through the world of the paperweight and the temporary exhibit. Tour guides will help you form meaningful connections with works of art by helping you to look carefully, think critically and pay attention to what you feel. These tours last approximately 1½ hours.
Middle and High School Grades:
A temporary exhibit focused tour with interactive writing and drawing activities. Paperweight tours can also be given. Recommended tour time is 1 to 1½ hours.
A tour guide will give your group a guided walking tour through our collections or the guide can simply introduce our collections to your group and then be available to answer questions in the galleries.
Teachers, students, and adult groups are welcome to independently explore the museum’s collections and special exhibitions. We encourage teachers to visit the museum prior to their student group visit as galleries and the artwork on view change throughout the year. Download our visitor guide
The Mabel R. McClanahan Memorial Study Gallery on the second floor of the museum is available for meeting rental. The room can seat up to 18 comfortably and up to 20 for a cozy meeting. The space is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for your presentation and designed for creative thinking. Please call 920.751.4658 for full and half-day rental rates, or to reserve your date.
