GLASS ARTS FESTIVAL – A GREAT SUCCESS!

We are grateful to the 30 artists who participated in our inaugural GLASS Arts Festival on August 13th, 2022.
 
The GLASS Arts Festival was juried by Andy Schlauch, Executive Director of the Cafesjian Art Trust Museum in Shoreview, MN, which will open in fall 2022. Prior to overseeing the CAT Museum, Schlauch was the Executive Director of the Chihuly Collection presented by the Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg Arts Advisory, FL. Schlauch also worked for the artist Dale Chihuly at his studio in Seattle, WA for six years.
 
After a brief juror remarks, the following awards were presented at 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 13 by Festival Juror Andy Schlauch, Walt Koskinen, Board of Directors President and Amy Moorefield, Executive Director.

1st place, sponsored by Rosann Baum Milius: Wes and Wesley Hunting, Princeton, Wisconsin

 $1500 award, entry booth fee waived in 2023, and a solo exhibition at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass in 2023.

2nd place, sponsored by The Royal Hound and Mallet Club: Robin Kittleson, Geneva, IL

$1000 award and entry booth fee waived in 2023.

3rd place, sponsored by the Lilian Noble Fund: Deanna Clayton, Sister Bay, Wisconsin

$500 award and entry booth fee waived in 2023.
